The pace of homes sold across Ohio in April increased 4.5 percent from the level posted during the month a year ago, according to Ohio REALTORS. "Activity in April was extremely robust across the Buckeye State, as our sales totals increased to start the traditional spring home buying season," said Ohio REALTORS President Anjanette Frye. "Equally important, the marketplace achieved a continued, steady rise in the average sale price, an indication that housing is a solid, long-term investment. "The profession is hopeful that we'll see an uptick in the number of homes being marketed for sale, a key factor in ensuring that the momentum we've attained continues," Frye added. April's average home price of $188,953 reflects a 5.6 percent increase from the $178,909 mark posted during the month last year.
